How To Clean The Internal Engine (cheaper way)

i learned something new today. the car mechanic told me that my car needs to be over-hauled, which obviously costs thousands! he showed me the photo of my internal engine and that really has convinced me to say 'yes, just go ahead'.

i went to a car sparepart shop to get some stuff ordered earlier on, and while waiting for the bill, i chatted with an old chinese mechanic about cars. he told me that, there is an easier and cheaper way how to clean the inside compartment of an engine.

all you need to do is just to change the engine oil for every 1000km, for few times, 3 or 4 times is adequate.

i asked him what is the rationale of doing so, for i just changed my engine oil last week.

he showed the dipstick to me and wow! the color supposedly be still yellowish...is now brownish and its dirty. by changing the engine oil within a shorter period ( normal duration is every 5000km covered) is similarly letting the engine 'gurgle' and dispose the murky oil, like we gurgle water to cleanse the toothpaste foam in our mouth.

the idea is to mix the new engine oil with the existing thick dirty engine oil waste, and flush it out from the engine, naturally, every time we change our engine oil. (in order to put new engine oil, the existing engine oil in the car must be taken out first. the mechanic would just open the cap beneath your car and let the used/dirty engine oil flow down into another container before throwing it)

then, pour with a litre /or more (seek advice from a relible mechanic) of new engine oil...

the function of an engine is like our heart. the investment is just 10% of the cost that might incurred to overhaul (clean thoroughly) the internal engine.

i squeezed my brain trying to invent a new shape...ended up my efforts were all in vain! i couldnt think of any! all existing thing, physical or non physical has its shape, name and functions!

i once told a friend that i am 'the best, second to none'. this one moment, i am a helpless one and even the trees leaves are better than myself.

why did i say that?

they are programmed to contribute oxygen during photosynthesis. have they ever been self centered since the sprout surfaces? they are created to benefit you and me..

and yet we say life is unfair..

i just lost my mp3!

this is not the first time i lost mp3s, and i have lost many things before this, you name it, wrist watches, rings etc..but why am i so sad tonight?

its because of that particular mp3 is full with Imam Anwar Awlaki lectures on seerah Muhammad Rasulullah (peace be upon him) and other general lectures on various topics. i had sacrificed my sleeps to download most of his lectures and put it as mandatory for me to listen to them while driving or doing other activities that dont require me to talk or to listen.

anyway, i hope who ever finds it on the street or anywhere, please listen to all the lectures by him and try to appreciate his beautiful talks and radical views. i hope the new owner would benefit from the lectures, spiritually.

nevertheless, it feels lot better imagining someone who found it, adapting what he hears from the mp3 into his daily life.

as for now, i will force myself to sleep since there is no use to plug the earphone to my ears... *sigh*

just want to share with all of you, that, lately i just deeply realized that i had been fooled by this so called globalization system and proclaimed modernity. not that i just knew it, the stone of 'alarm' has landed on my head, giving me a big knock to wake me up from my complaisant sleeps.

i know all along about it, but it didnt really click in my heart that i actually am living in this rotting life, and worse of, unconsciously assisting the system . bit by bit, it has made me think that being liberal in some aspect is acceptable, and being straight in some aspect, is considered as extreme...i have been living in this kind of understanding and when people say that God doesnt understand the needs of His creation, we muslims all, zipped up their mouth and nodded agreeing to all the human made policies...what are we in the eyes of the Creator then? are we not in shame and humiliation even though we didnt say NO? they say that ignorance is a bliss, but for me, it is definitely a betrayal towards the oath we made 5 times a day to our Lord.

i know its easy to say, but its not impossible to start fixing things and to do the undone/incomplete works for, at least to start with within me. i know its hard to do, some involved personal interests, and aims..but as far as preparing my home in the hereafter is concerned, i think this should be put priority.

so, 2012....here i come, and lets us all use this dunya to build our home in the akhirah. insyaAllah.

These few days, my nights are more livelier for i found a speaker, who spoke his mind, and for me, having one of the most beautiful mind among men who have unique way of thinking. i am listening to his talks over youtube and his channel and pray for Allah SWT blessing be upon this extraordinary, radical speaker, who only speaks the truth.

I called my client today, telling him that his company's certificate is ready and asked him to come to the office to collect it. in less than 10 minutes he stood in front of my office door with one glittering smile. he is dealing with cattle live stock supplies, and that certificate means a lot to him, ok lets skip that.

we talked about how the RM250 million government money being unethically used for some investment that benefits NOT the people, but some individuals and their family, just like what happened in Egypt, Tunisia, Libya and others. this is not new among the proclaimed muslim countries, and what is now, its not surprising at all. am i envy? NO! RM250 million is nothing when Allah SWT owns a planet that made of diamond! MasyaALlah!!

so, about this peoples money RM250 million, am i angry? YES

on the second thought, maybe i should PITY them all. why? lets go back to the basic principals. nobody lives forever and when we die, we bring nothing with us, except our good deeds (if the deeds were accepted by Allah SWT). i pity them of the liability carried, until the day, all mouths and tongues are sealed and frozen. what would their answers be? well, talking about now, is there a need to have any fear when all the power, security and money is in their possession? so as far as having a life be enjoyed lavishly is concerned, nothing is to be worried about... Afterall, God is most forgiving, so why not commit as much sins as we can and repent when the death angel comes to say hi. i wish them good luck then!

people say, its easy to talk, but when we are being 'tested'..we ourselves might change 'our color'. i pray to Allah SWT to guide me if lets say, one day, i were destined to sit on their 'throne'..how would i react?? could i control myself? my nafs (passion) for the worlds? could i be the worst, worse than anyone can imagine of,, who knows?...na'uzubillah. i pray that i wont go astray with the 'gifts' given by ALlah SWT, and i would turn to become a much better person than i am now in the eyes of my Creator. i am grateful of what i have now, ALhamdulillah. anyways, i like to follow the updates in politics, but to be in the stream, i chose NOT TO.

i admire one politician, a religious speaker and a minister whose house is less grand than a normal teacher's house and drives a car worth only RM20,000 or less. he eats in a plastic plate sometimes (in public!).

to the corrupt politicians, enjoy while you can, and this world is your actual bars that imprison you and your greed.

since Our Creator owns you and this planet, is there any way out then?

How To Make Salad Looks Interesting

from the right to left, salt, olive oil, lime, black pepper and a tomato

some fresh crispy lettuce


cut it into smaller pieces

dice the tomato


put all the ingredients in a bowl, dont forget to squeeze the lime. mix well

put some on the seaweed sheet

roll or wrap it

cut to whatever size you like

dinner is served :)

The One Eye Theory

my sunday arabic class today was great, i always felt enlighted every and each time i stepped in and out from the class. my teacher has indeed 'poured' water in to my dried brain, and masyaAllah, this kind of thirst relief of spiritual knowledge really made my day, barakallahifihu (may ALlah's blessings be upon him)

he explained in detail after one student posed a question about the dajjal, the mysteriously one eyed person/thing. my teacher says that the dajjal will only 'surfaces' once the environment is perfectly conducive for him to claim his 'throne'. he, the one eyed curly haired man, would ensure that no one is having a pair of eyes unlikely the kind of handicapped he is having. does he want us to be a one eyed person as well? do we have to poke our eye then? read through please :)

i love the symbolism highlighted by my teacher on the function of the pair of eyes. ALlah SWT has created us with perfectly beautiful eyes that see all the beauties and the ugliness, the good and bad, consciously and unconsciously at every second in our daily lives. there is always pairs in everything, whether you like it or not, that is the original function of our eyes, to distinguish what is right and what is wrong in the 'eyes' of the Creator of mankind.

my teacher stressed deeper that, this whole scenario actually brings us to the realization that, we live for the 'dunya' (now) and for hereafter (akhirah). being one eye blind is the best analogy of the perception that there wont be any other lives after death. not just that, the one eye man doesnt recognized the call to return to Allah SWT and being an arrogant ignorant, he (the dajjal) promises the worlds in exchange of everyone following his footsteps.

my teacher advises us to read the first 10 verses in Al Kahfi verse in order to be protected by Allah SWT from the dajjal sparks of evil deeds. he says that confronting dajjal is less challenging than living in his (dajjal) reign. we wouldnt know what we would become during that time. nobody can assures of anything. we might go against our prior islamic principals and being antagonistic by siding the dajjal worshipers. na'uzubillah (may Allah protect us all)

we are not the first aimed/targeted candidates, as the syaitan soldiers has recruited many before us, since Adam & Eve (Hawa) were tricked to disobey ALlah SWT first command of restriction. do you think those syaitan soldiers would stop whispering to our ears and hearts? Alhamdulillah, Allah SWT taught our forefather how to repent, and without His blessings and forgiveness, where would we be now?

i look around me, the mass media, the food, the clothing line, arrggghhhh!!!! arent we trapped in this kind of lives? i dont know about others but at times i felt like 'drowning' in this system. for me, living in a comfort zone without noticing being trapped in this dajjal way of life is really terrifying. its hard to ignore the seduction but its not impossible either, we fight to strive on the right path and we shall be safe, insyaAllah.

i asked my self, is there any R&R along the highway to the heaven/hellfire?
NOPE. its a straight way destination and i pray for the muslims to be firm and steadfast in holding what 'both eyes' is regimented to do.

i am reminding myself, most.

Getting Organized

its going to be short today, i just want to share something about being organized.

my client, Mr Tajammal Hussein came to the office today to check the status of his company. He told me about the task and the money paid to my most problematic ex staff, S. he said that S asked for cash instead of cheq, and lied to him, that in order to get the job done within a day, our company requires cash payment. he paid some in cheq and some in cash. guess what? the cash is never banked into our company's account. S is enjoying haram money.

i dont want to talk about my ex staff which case is under the police investigation, but God knows how i hope he will be nabbed soon and thrown behind bars. time will tell.

lets talk about Mr Tajammal's advice. he said, that Allah SWT listens to our needs, if we need water, He gives a well. He never asks us to jump into it and get drown. He asks us to be careful and take the amount suiting to our requirement. beautiful isnt it?

being organized is one way of being careful. now we are in the midst of getting our billing and payment collection system organized via a software designed for tasks like this. thanks to Fakhruddin for assisting me in this.

ALhamdulillah, blessing in disguise. rezk is from Allah, and i dont want to be poor in the business management and poor in spiritual. i dont like these kind of poverty..

i wont give in nor giving up. i want to be a better person in the eyes of Allah SWT insyaAllah. i am not comparing myself with anyone though.

i dont live for others expectation, i have mine and glad to have one..

How To Grow Avocado From Seed

Assalamualaikum & hi to all,

just finished my arabic homework and i am really in mood to post something about avocado. its about to grow avocado from its seed.

i read many avocado lovers grumbled about which technique is better than which in getting the root to come out from the seed. so, i intend to do the experiment myself. i named them as METHOD A and METHOD B.

so, you are going to need these items...

few avocados from the supermarket. they are Hass type, from South Africa.
(i bought this from our local supermarket , i didnt go to S.Africa haha...)

eat 2 avo, and keep their seeds.

a plastic and used news paper

a plastic cup/glass and toothpick

METHOD A

try to differentiate the head and the bottom of the seed. the one that is shown in the pic above is the bottom.
the root will come out from there

poke the 3 toothpick to the position shown above

place nicely so that the bottom of the seed will sip in the water

put near the window where it is exposed to sunlight. leave it there for 2-3 weeks.
dont forget to change the water if it gets murky.
most importantly make sure there is no mosquitoes egg hatches! haha..

METHOD B

put the seed on the used news paper

wrap / crumble it with the seed inside

put in the plastic bag/container

fill in some water (tap water is fine)

throw the excess water. we just need the paper to be wet

fold loosely and leave it for 2-3 weeks

THE RESULT

FROM METHOD A
after 2 weeks plus, notice the crack, but no root

FROM METHOD B
same duration, it cracked and a healthy root jotting out from it

CONCLUSION

method B is better. you can place the seed on the soil now, placing the root in the soil. dont forget to water it :)

(sorry no pic of planting it the soil as i havent got the suitable pot for it)

Limitless?

i watched 'limitless' movie and i give 5 star for it. its about a man who depends on a pill to sustain his successes achieved throughout a very short period. nice movie, but as a muslim, there is some aspect which i disagree..not to make any critic as it gives no benefit to me raising any.

my point is, everything has a limit and its measurement. i forgot which verse in the Quran that touches this matter, but i dont believe depending on anything beside the Creator, would last long.

Why am i saying this?

just look around you. look at hosni mubarak, nobody would ever thought that he would stepdown in humiliation after all the limitless amount of money 'gained'.

look what happened to ariel sharon, after the thought of the limitless number of killings, he 'rest' in coma condition and God knows what kind of tortures he is experiencing at the moment in his sleeps... he might be screaming of the silent/invisible torment but alas, who would notice? Only the great Punisher Himself can arise him from his vegetable state. do you think he is even having a peaceful rest?

look at the hardcore gays, who think the world has no limit of enjoyment and sexual freedom...in the end, the cancer cells have been 'instructed' to be self-activated by the Creator, and there they come, AIDS with no mercy. its just a matter of time.

that is some of the real story proofs. we forgot that everything is lent by Allah SWT, thus who do we think we are to even determine the limit of anything?

the only thing that is promised by Allah is when we live to please Allah SWT and die for Him in so many various of ways, then (with His Rahmah-sympathy) the rewards would be Jannah (heaven) which has no limit of what so ever. pls correct me if i am wrong but that is what i heard by some religious speakers.

anyways, i like the ending of the movie where eventually, Eddie Morra stopped taking those pills and became himself, a hardworking politician who sees and knows what is best for him.

a good muslim doesnt need any pill. Allah has planted an extraordinary pill in every lives since the beginning of our creation. You want to know what is it?

the formula is in the Quran. Dig it.

We Dont Know About Tomorrow

Alhamdulillah, last week's works were completed as scheduled, and everything runs smooth Alhamdulillah again..

My secretarial department is on its way to recovery. called few professionals to help me out with the system and internal control, for future precaution...it was dreadfully painful thinking of the intellectual property being hijacked and stolen by some idiots who think doing business is a picnic.

i remembered in mid of Ramadan last month, when i was
warded in the hospital ...all i could think of, was work.
this has taken most of the space in my mind and i think that was the main contributor for the ailment, but the doctor diagnosed the otherwise haha. i spent time worrying of the unpredictable result and look what happened to me. i think my spiritual was weakening..and i lied down helplessly.

looking outside the window, with cars heading their destination ...all to return home perhaps. in the end, after the hard strenuous rat racing work in the office, everybody would return to his or her home/family. i am too 'heading home' eventually. i smiled to myself thinking of the ups and downs in my life. i placed efforts on something, some 'half baked' and some, again all praise to the Almighty, ended with sweet result. i am not grumbling, am i?

i keep on thinking what my arabic teacher told me last sunday, that Allah measures our deeds by our efforts not the output of the input. soothing words, and actually it helped me in reducing the guilt feelings for few life tasks i havent manage to complete..

for the tough life tasks i am facing now, i think Allah wants to surprise me, and i am looking forward on what He prepares for me. i also think He wants me to keep on hoping for Him and that is what i am training to adapt in life....well, its not as easy as writing it in this blog. you might not believe me if i were to tell you what the tasks are..i am not grumbling anyways.

its nice to get the affirmation on what is to happen tomorrow but its nicer to hope for Allah's blessing and attention to grant what we are hoping for. my hopes? let me keep to myself, no offense pls :p

i think thats one of the beauty of life, that we dont know about tomorrow. keeping to wonder and ponder what to happen onto us, do spice our lives, are they not?

How To Make Wild Mushroom Soup

Do you know how easy to make your own mushroom soup, wild mushroom soup. i dont know why they name those mushroom as wild mushroom...

well, you are going to need :-

few types of mushroom, any type. just pick them from the vegetable shelf at the supermarket

anti clockwise. black pepper (or a tea spoon of blackpepper powder), mixed herbs, garlic and salt

2 mugs of chicken stock and a cup of milk (or coconut milk if you like)

THE STEPS

put 2 tablespoon of cooking oil and fry all the mushroom and garlic. put in the salt, blackpepper powder, mixed herbs and stir. fry until the mushrooms become dry (no excess of water)

mix all the fried mushrooms in the chicken stock. blend them

cook under slow fire and pour the milk once you see it boils

stir. taste it. you can add some MSG which is unnecessary. let it boil slowly for 5-10 minutes until it thickens.

WALLA! no need any narration

How To Marcot An Avocado Tree

i couldnt believe that at this age, i actually climbed a tree, and its avocado tree! i really want avo trees!

i was so happy to know that my friend is having an avo tree and after seeking his permission, he allowed me to marcot the tree. in no time i climbed the tree, after 30 years not climbing any tree.

i stopped climbing trees at the age of 12. i was really a monkey who loved to sleep on the tree after school. how i missed climbing trees ;p

lets skip that. so, marcotting. how i did it? first, you are going to need :-

an avocado tree (this is my friend's avo tree. Type : Reed Avocado)
pls ignore the gals hehe..

small plastic bag

ready mixed soil (fertilizer+ash+black soil+normal soil)

rubber band (combine them)

THE STEPS

measure about an inch or two and mark it

cut around the stem. not too deep, you can sense the soft skin.

peel it out

like this

put in the plastic bag. if there were small branches on top of this small branch,
you can just wrap using any plastic wrapper

tie tightly at the bottom as shown above.

take some of the mixed soil and put inside the plastic bag

tie on top of it, sealing/closing the bud

leave them for 2-3 months. you will notice some roots come from the stem

seems that i need to pay my friend a visit for the next 2-3 months haha...

i was about 16 feet from the ground. i didnt mean to be a hardcore climber here, it was just, there was no young stem near the lower part of the tree.

i cant wait to see the roots coming out :)

dont try this if you are not used to climbing. safety first, find a ladder :)

Staff And Business Partners Are Part Of Your Family?

i just came back from outstation, and it was one enjoyable journey. Why? coz i took my mom along and she seemed happy too. now i am back in Kuala Lumpur and in the mood to write.

i got new staff for both of my kuala lumpur and penang office, and both new staff seemed ok. i hope they can get along with the existing staff. to be honest, i always excited getting new staff. they are just like a new seed to be planted in the new soil.

to share with you, i have been in business from 1997 until now, ALhamdulillah i survived after striving in this unpredictable climate of income. staff and business partners are the 2 main people whom i consider important in running a service oriented business like what i am having at the moment. i can still remember the number of staff i had and the reason why they resigned. some lied and some told the truth. some were fired and some ran away from duty haha...

i grumbled to my friend, and guess what? she put the 100% blame on me. she repeatedly warned me not to treat them as if they were my siblings/children else, they will find this as an opportunity or take for granted what lies in front of them. in some aspect, i think she was right. this is how dry the corporate internal environment is. those family day, morning greetings and fake smiles can always be made up and bosses could be cold hearted, stingy and calculative like the chetiar! (indian money lender)

while driving home yesterday, i told myself that since life is called a journey, then everybody has his story of his own. this is one way to know oneself. i wont know my level of patience and i wont appreciate the time i had for talking, confessing and confiding seeking peace and help from my Creator if these mishap doesnt occur.

well i lost some, but ALlah promised the 'victory' if i keep my patience. thus, i created a theory that, to value a relationship, to put it in monetory terms, the price of the relationship of each of my staff/partner who cheated or did some corporate crime is the same price of lost incurred. let me give you an example, if a staff/partner cheated/stole1000 dollars, then the price of the relationship is equivalent to only 1000 dollar. how much would he worth in the eyes of ALlah? Allah knows better.

coming back to having my staff/partner as my brothers and sisters. i never felt guilty treating them well in the office nor did i blame myself for them to leave the company. i dont have to become 'margaret thatcher' to run a company and they dont have to enslave themselves like the dracula slave who calls master..master..master.. to his bloodsucker. i dont have to change my color. i am a lady boss, but still i am a muslimah and i know, my self price is measured by my taqwa (piety). about having staff/partner who back stabbed or betrayed etc, we shouldnt feel so bad about it. if we can measure our patience and keep cool, insyaALlah we are near to feel the sweetness of iman. its a journey to learn about our own being. nobody is perfect and who wants to be near to God would improve his/her deeds. i know in managing a company, there are tonnes more to learn. bottomline, i must not give in to this situation.

as what i heard in The Deen Show, we have 3 types of brotherhood. brothers in blood, brothers in humanity and brothers in faith. for my ex staff and ex partners, all of you are still my brothers in humanity but your 'price tag' as a muslim is best determined by ALlah.

for my existing and future staff, if you love Allah SWT and put His Desires above yours, then i am with you. you are definitely my brother in humanity and indeed, my brothers in faith therefore, you are part of my family. i will guide you and love you as long as you love Allah and fear for His Anger.

dear staff, you can count on me for your monthly wages but for your sincerity working for me, can only be evaluated and rewarded by Allah SWT.

afterall, money is just a tool/mean to get to Allah, nothing more.

How To Produce Cold Pressed Avocado Oil At Home

to avocado oil lovers who have avo tress at home and want to extract 100% pure, uncooked avocado oil..

you are going to need :-

4 riped avocados. some were still good and some, as you can see were half rotten

2 spoons

a plate (made of alloy, or steel)

or you can use a stainless steel tray (i got this recently)

small cloth, cotton or polyester

THE PROCESS

take out the seed/stone and put the riped avo flesh in a alloy/steel container.
press and mash using the back of the spoon until all turned smooth

spread the smooth mashed avo and make the layer as thin as you can.
add more plates if you wish to

put under the hot sun until they turned dark.
i left this 3 plates from morning till the evening in a day.

scrap it out using a plastic spoon. it looks like copra

put all in a container

put a small portion (1 table spoon) on the cloth and spread them

and roll the cloth like shown above

take the 2 spoon and tie the end of each cloth like shown above

twist and squeeze as hard as you can. strong fingers are better and weak ones ;p

from 4 avocados. uncooked and vitamins reserved.

look at the color! green and smells nice with no burning smell! real, genuine and pure avo oil

i like to keep empty perfumes bottles. see? i got 2 bottles of 10ml avo oil and a bottle of 5ml avo.

your dont have to have a special machine to extract avocado oil. everything can be done at home.

4 avocados can produce 50-55 ml pure, cold pressed avocado oil. i am going to make the small bottle as my eye night cream coz it has roller ball. for my facial moisturizer, the10ml (bigger bottle) is enough for a month supply. this means my supply is enough for 2 months, since i have 2 bottles of 10 ml avo oil. cheap, easy and halal! i just love this outcome :)

just imagine if you have an avo tree which produces uncountable of avo fruits! how i wished i have an avocado orchard....

Ki To Continue Living

Salam & hi to all....

its drizzling outside but damn! my eyes are wide open and i am freshly awake. i should be sleeping by now enjoying dreams in my sleeps. hmmm..maybe due to the green tea i just took.

to share with you, i recall watching Inception few months back, and my bad, i watched it twice. that movie 'haunts' me even till now. sometimes i believe what i am having now is just a dream, hoping to hop into my sleep to be 'inside' my dream. well, ALhamdulillah... things are getting a little bit better now. how?

i have been telling myself that life needs to go on. anger hatred sadness dont bring me anywhere, but to be honest, these negative elements could sedate me to sleep. actually when i couldnt handle it in my mind, my brain gets tired. maybe its how i run away from thinking about it haha..

of course, everything we do in this world is driven by something. i wrote about it in my previous post. yes of course, i said that Allah SWT is the drive for me to do anything or everything. sometimes, i admit, all the 'due to God' intention slips through and i did things without having any motives, just based on emotional/mood. thats why some of the output of my efforts seemed weak, vague and even resulted to failure.

do you get what i am trying to get at? actually i want to talk about ki, not about ki in aikido class, or ki in wing chun etc etc....its ki for doing something. any motion needs a push. soft or hard. doubting me? just ask yourself, when ur wife asks you to do something which doesnt favor you, would you do it right away? if she smiles asking and give you one light kiss on the cheek, then why you 'obey' her promptly? what moves you? what energizes you?

in my opinion, ki is derived from inner self or being transferred from other person to another person. i give you a simple example. when i was holding my youngest daughter in my arms, listening to her stories, looking at her smiles, enjoying the music of her soft voice...gives me the special energy to fuel my next activity, taking her out for ice cream for instance. oh she loves that!

when Allah SWT has destined her to be my child, He wants her to be held in trust and yes, i am taking that responsibility. that is the preliminary point. given a little push (ki) being responsible has become something enjoyable, fun and at times, satisfactory. again, how? having the ki to do things that God asks us to do, motivates us in doing it full heartedly. the momentum of this good deeds, makes everybody happy. having to see this respond, bounces ki, and this positive impact continues to go and bounce, again and again. dont you see the connection? we will feel good doing things we thought difficult. we will feel that we live for a reason/reasons.

just look at Wu Xia (latest 5star kungfu movie), the leader of the most wanted and cold blooded gangsters. he didnt enjoy his life though no means could stop him in getting what he wanted. but at one point, he knew his soul was crying in agony, that made him shifted his life paradigm to 360 the opposite. being with his beloved wife and kids and surrounded with good people, his life was fullfilled with joy and serenity. he lived happily. whats caused him that? it was the ki derived from the people and the surroundings. he didnt want to exchange that for the world he used to lived in before. well, that is what i think.

for me, i am looking forward for more ki to enjoy living. its not so hard to get them if we put away all grudges.

i dont want to give in, as despair in life unpleases Allah SWT.

Zero Enemy In Ramadan

Its Ramadan, and tonight, most of the mosque in Kuala Lumpur would be more merrier, insyaAllah. i love to do my teraweh prayers at the KLCC mosque together with my kids. they have good imam and the Al Quran recitation there during teraweh is more than nice.

actually i have bunch of things i want to write in here, but they are stucked inside my chest and my fingers seem reluctant to type in here.

i hope my Ramadan this year would be better than last year's and i really hope to carry the 'glorious winning trophy' by the end of this month, the chosen month which is full with blessings. there are so many things to let go, so many desires, plans etc. all of them seem insignificant for me all of a sudden. maybe due to the Ramadan aura. i dont know.

ALhamdulillah, this year is they year whereby Allah SWT has given me rezk in many forms, and one of them, is the ability to forgive.

i seek forgiveness from anyone who has been offended by me, intentionally or unintentionally. i want to cleanse my spiritual starting with seeking forgiveness and giving one.

i forgive my ex-husband for the 2005-2007 incidents. i forgive my ex-staff for the offences done in the office. i forgive my son and pray he would be guided by Allah SWT.

who knows, this Ramadan could be my last Ramadan, therefore, i seek forgiveness from anyone who knows me and i am forgiving anyone who has done the same to me.

i am aiming for zero enemy in Ramadan and that is not just for this year. all of us are in the same humanity and i respect the soul we are sharing together.

How To Make Fried Sambal Belacan

want to know how i did my fried sambal belacan?

from the right (anti clock wise) cili melaka (they are smaller but 200% hotter than normal sized chillies), prawn paste (here we called it belacan), tomatoes, red chillies, anchovies (i checked the ikan bilis translation is anchovies) and 1 large onion

put everything in a frying pan, put some oil and fry them in slow fire (3-5 minutes).
no need to take out the chillies stalks,
they help to reduce the burning hot sensation on your tongue. its a tips actually.
no salt and vinegar required as the anchovies is naturally salty and those tomatoes are sourish.

then put everything in a mixer and blend them until smooth

then put in a frying pan, and fry until you can see the oil surfaces.

ready! you can serve just like that. you can dip your cracker in it too! yummy ;)

or you can serve for nasi lemak, simply delicious!

Accidents In The House

last month (24th or 26th June), i slipped in my bathroom at 3am. i remembered my whole body was in the air, and in split seconds, there i was, lying on the right side of my body. somebody spilled or played with shampoo in my bathroom! hmmm...its not hard to guess, i know who loves playing with the bubbles in the house haha... the bathroom was very very slippery. when i was on the floor, all i could think of was, did i sleep walking or was that a dream haha...

if i were to fall straight on my back, my lumbar spines could hit the floor hardly and could cause slipped disk! not just that, the back of my head might bang the floor hardly and i never wished to lose my memory due to that. Praise be to the Almighty, i was uninjured... it was a bit painful though..

and guess what? today, one of my daughter spilled water on the stairs, at 10.30pm, i slipped again! man! it was even more hurtful! my ankle and elbow were swollen! it happened so fast that all i can recall was, my body was in the position of lying on my right side, the same position when i slipped in the bathroom. this time, due to the steps of the stairs, my right elbow hit one of the steps. that was not fun at all :(

why am i telling you this unpleasant story about me slipping in the bathroom and at the stairs?

accidents do happen in the house, and the effect could be fatal. i thank Allah SWT for saving me, by giving my body the ability to do a fast reflex in adjusting my body during those falls. the continuous practice in aikido class especially doing the ukemi, really helps i guess . it has contributed to my 'no mind' body turning during those accidents.

it still hurts but the main point, i wasnt injured Alhamdulillah.

i just hate to be hospitalized.

What Drives You?

it has been quite few days i was having this cough and slight chest pain, maybe due to my allergies. i didnt go to work from tuesday but managed to complete the assignment given by my other partner (project basis) on the proposal for a contract in one foreign country (let it be a secret). ignored many incoming calls from clients, for the reason of the difficulty i was having to speak, my voice was so husky that even myself felt 'dislike' hearing it haha...but Alhamdulillah, managed to email the assignment, went to shop for groceries and returned home, cleaned the floor and tidied up the kitchen. phew! it was tiring yet, i was satisfied with the result.

now, i am in the mood to write. actually, i cant sleep, so its better for me to write something. there were 2 occasions today which drives me to speak my mind.

the first one, was about my friend who is a full time house wife and a second wife to a businessman. we talked over the phone, and she whined a lot, and sounded helpless. she actually works for the husband at home. they sell some special oil, but she is the one who does the a-z work whereby the husband would take orders and collect the payment.

is she under any payroll? nope. how much the husband gives her for her pocket money? just RM 50.00 per month and that is for the groceries and other shopping things in the market. ridiculous! the husband never buys her any new cloth since they were married! i felt so sorry for her after learning that she is broke, not having even RM 10 in her purse. i was speechless and this breaks my heart!

second occasion, i sneaked into my long lost friend facebook page and browsed most of her photos. she is married to a dutch and Alhamdulillah, the husband has converted to Islam. there is no difference in her style its just that, she becomes more stylish and daring in exposing more parts of her body. i was sad, and i am sorry for her. her husband has made the biggest sacrifice and yet, she portrays the opposite culture of Islam (in dressing). she is also a fulltime housewife residing in holland. i bet her husband buys anything she wants, for the luxurious life she is enjoying right now (from the photos)

ok come back to the topic. what drives you. what drives me? what drives everybody in this world to do what we were doing, going to do, suppose to do..there must be something.

i dont know about others, but i have God as my drive. easy to say huh? i give you a simple example. back home, from work, if i were to become selfish, i just want to lie down and sleep. i dont want to know whats in the sink, and whats in the washing machine or whether my kids have eaten or not. i might let all my cats die of hunger and thirst. why should i bother about the cat poo box whether it stinks and the neighbours might get uneasy with the smell? why do i care? i can be the most arrogant ignorant lady on earth. but what drives me to even live in this rat racing, dirty world? what drives me even to learn arabic? what drives me to clean my kitchen and brush the toilet bowl? why drives me to be concern of the neighbours? what and why?

i want His attention. i need His love. i know Allah is near me if i do anything or everything for Him. that answers all questions and solves all problems. it gives me serenity when my mind tangles. it gives me security when i am scared. it gives me assurance when i am lost. i feel peaceful within a chaotic condition. i always felt happy at the end of any sadness. i know i am a forgetful person, but everytime the moody disease comes, i renewed my 'niat' (intention) and remind myself the purpose of my doings.

weird aye? why dont you try? i bet it would give the best drive you ever felt for doing something.

Artificial Fear

i am going to talk about this coming 9th July 2011. at first, i hesitated to even discuss about it but after today's 'chat' with a policeman, who parked next to my car, i think i need to speak my mind while it is still fresh. whats new? this policeman was trying to implant fear in me by saying ' this saturday, just stay at home. we might catch anyone suspicious eventhough he isnt wearing yellow'..

what a joke!

this is what i called something artificial, and this artificial fear has its consequences. one of them is rebellious impact in form of reaction for instance. just look at me, i changed my profile photo in FB and colored the background to YELLOW.

my advise to those 'fear planters'...yellow is just innocently a color. 'sleeping' thinker are awaken by threats and mind oppression like what you are giving us right now.

beware of our awakening. once we were, there is no turning back.

THE PEOPLE HAVE THE RIGHT TO SPEAK AND WE DEMAND A FAIR & CLEAN ELECTION!!

is that too much to ask?

Civet Cat Kitties & Kitties

How To Make Spreadable Cream Cheese

my favorite olive spreadable butter was finished last week and i was so lazy to do my groceries. its not saturday yet!

got to think of its substitute. yes! its going to be a creamy, spreadable cream cheese!
here is how i did it.

remember the 'how to make yogurt' post? so, i used the yogurt i made.

you will notice there is water surfacing the yogurt. throw the excess water if exists.

put approximately 100-150 gram into a flat saucer. if the saucer is big, then put more.
the idea is to get a thin layer of yogurt.

like this. put in the refrigerator (not at the freezer compartment)
for few days (a week will do).

the layer thickens but not so hard.
as you can see in the picture, it looks soft and spreadable.

see what i mean?

its nice to eat it with a sweetened chocolate bread and a cup of hot coffee (with milk please ;P )
just imagine if you were to have this during your tea time
and outside your window, you can see the heavy rains pour..hmmm

the taste? if you dont mind the sourish taste from the yogurt, then this kind of spreadable cream cheese suits your choice. some prefer a sweetened spreadable cheese, some just like it plain.

NOTE : if the spreadable cream cheese is very salty, you can add some sweetened condensed milk. mix it with the creamcheese and stir. actually it tastes better and yummier :)

Allah Offers On M.L.M

Alhamdulillah, managed to submit my arabic homework and at the same time, settled all the fees before my final exams which is just another 14 days or so...

i met Mr Zun Arif, who works part time as someone who calls for Islam. he told me that he has helped 4 new reverts to embrace Islam, and 2 of them have worked on the same path, that is to call for Islam as well. SubhanAllah, the 2 of them did some dakwah, and have helped few others to embrace Islam also. i bet, they introduced Islam in the most beautiful way, but what motivates them?

we talked about the Multi Level Marketing (MLM) which everybody knows would gives the self encouragement to the members to work hard in order to achieve some points or reward. i can see that Mr Zun Arif has accumulated some 'profit' and for me, he has entered into the best MLM scheme ever. Why? just looked at the result after helping 4 disbelievers to convert, and this 'networking' has the most stable base and background to sustain our 'points' to be redeemed in the hereafter.

dont ask about whether 'this product' sells by itself. Of course! we need to be the strong believers to do the 'sale' to promote Islam. its not easy but its not impossible either.

you might find my opinion strange. oh! talking about the word 'strange', on my last sunday class, we were thought the word Gharib, which means strange. Ghuraba' which means stangers, is derived from the root word Gharib.

i heard this nasheed many many years ago back in 1989 and just knew who sang the nasheed last sunday. beautiful voice, barakallahufihu.

sometimes i feel that there is no difference between someone in the jail and myself. i am locked in the bars i created myself and trapped in the situation i thought can solve the problems related to money. we thought we are fortunate than those behind bars (in the video clip-not the original nasheed singer) but in actual fact, we are the real loser.

we might be counting days for pay day or counting the debts collections or money in the banks and these attractions are lingering in our minds now.

...and the man in the video clip could be smiling in his 'sleeps' counting days to receive his accumulated points from his 'ad deen promotion sales' from the best MLM Creator, in form of Jannah 'bonus', insyaAllah.

Distress & Diarrhoea

i can say that the busiest days for me are saturdays and sundays. my market & groceries day is on saturdays morning if i dont go for cycling. then i would cook and prepare something special for lunch. then after zuhr prayers i would prepare the kids and myself to our aikido class, which always ends at 7.30pm. if i have the time, i would cook but if not, i would take all out for dinner. sundays is always a joyous day for me, as i have my arabic class, and back from class, i would normally opt to stay at home, have lunch/tea/dinner and watch some pirated DVD movies..(ops)

but yesterday was quite a hectic day for me. just to summarize all activities, i reached home at approximately 2 am. the kids were still awake and hungry! made them a simple dinner and performed my isyak prayer, then crashed in bed with my arabic book in my hand, with the homework i promised myself to complete, left uncompleted....*sigh*

today, i was late again in class and i know my arabic teacher doesnt like this even though he tries his best to greet the late comers. he never asks and i guess its insignificant to him. then after class i rushed home to prepare the macaroni cabonara i promised the kids yesterday. helped my daughter with her homework, browsing photos in the net for her school project and at 7pm getting myself ready to attend an invitation (other martial art class) in Shah Alam.

guess what? got diarrhoea all of a sudden. am i developing intolerance towards lactose in cheese now? the kids were fine though.

this is similar strange impact like how happened 6 years ago. i remember during the incident where my ex hubby snatched my baby when she was few weeks old and still heavily breastfeeding. the similar symptom occurred. this stomach cramp feels the same... i think my body is in distress. i am not saying that i repel in attending the invitation in Shah Alam, its just that i couldnt force myself further.

so now i just lie semi upright, with my laptop and my arabic book by my side. i am going to complete the homework and maybe if finished, i would hand it over to my arabic teacher tomorrow insyaALlah...well its just a plan, i might fall asleep anytime by now haha...

Alhamdulillah my mind is relaxed now and its so nice doing what we like most :)

Lactic Acid In Me

went to the gym and quite happy with my record, after not running for a long time. today's performance is slighter better, i ran 3.4km in 32 minutes.

on the treadmill my running pace was maintained, the first 3 minutes i ran slowly, very slow to be honest haha...then i ran another 4 minutes with an increased speed. after that, i reduced the speed and also my pace for another 3 minutes or so, and this continued until the 32 minutes. i didnt check on the net whether my style is practical or shall i say, appropriately done in the eyes of a running coach..in cycling we have this recovery fast-slow paddling, i am not sure in running. anyways, i like it, my feet didnt feel sore.

something is missing here. yes, the topic, its about lactic acid. i recalled many many months ago, had joint problems which the doctor said it could be torn muscle or stressful muscle, whatever. could the real problem got to do with the 'fuel' to change the source of energy to energize my muscles? its lactic acid. if you google the function of lactic acid, you would understand better.

honestly i wanted to explain more about lactic acid, but i afraid it might bore you. so lets go straight to the point.

in my personal opinion, i think the reason why my knee suffered some kind of needling pain (very painful actually) was because the fact that there was an uneven segregation of lactic acid to the 'exhausted' muscles. i remember, with no proper warming up, i normally 'jumped' on the treadmill and forced myself to run like nobody's business, and that was the only exercise machine i used continuously 30-40 minutes. i wasnt keen to use the other machines in the gym. i am sure as far as my muscles exhaustion & energy requirement is concern, my practice was wrong.

so what should i do then? i should do other exercise apart from running i.e use the other machines for the same length of duration as well, or maybe 15-20 minutes. today, when i used the stomach crunching machine for 10 minutes, and some weight lifting for another 15 minutes, boy..i felt so much better. of course there was some little cramps here and there, but the good thing was, the pressure at my knee was lessen. this is awesome. i know the lactic acid was distributed to the muscles area that in need of it, maybe not evenly but enough not to be 'surplus' and circulated ONLY at my knee joint. i hope my theory works.

i guess its too early to predict now, is it not? i need to observe the changes in 2 weeks time, that means, i need to run every day...hmmm on the second thought, i think at least twice a week.

i dont want to torture the only body God has lent me, so insyaAllah, i am going to be nice with it this time ;)

D.i.Y - How To Use A Flexible PVC Hose To Replace The Straight PVC pipe

this morning, i thought my water supply was cut by the water local authority here. i have paid this month bill so what was the matter? no water for shower! i suppose to be very angry, but Alhamdulillah, managed to control my temper. want to know why? somebody has stepped on my main pvc water pipe, and just look at the picture below, its broken!! my maid accused my son of doing it, my son denied, and accused her instead and dadadada...i dont want to know who is lying...my main concern, this need to be fixed. as what i posted in my FB, fault finding is wasteful. so, lets see how i fixed it.

the 'victim'. that is the main water inlet pipe.

look at the red line pipe. the water inlet came from inside of my house,
going out through the usage meter .
the blue line of pipe is for the house water usage. the parts involved was the red line pipe.
pls ignore the yellow line.

my fixing work started with the point of the red arrow

taken out the defected parts. how artistic!
i cant recall who was the previous contractor
but this crooked pipe connection is unacceptably & unprofessionally done!

i used this to replace it, a flexible pvc hose. not as flexible like a rubber hose
and not so hard as the normal hollow straight pvc pipe. this is just nice for me.

i used a pair of tightener/lock (black color) for the flexible hose pipe
3 sockets (sized half inches) and L joint socket (some call it elbow)

check the tightener. it must consist of 4 parts,
the rubber and the white thing are very important.

apply all socket with white tape as shown in the pic

new stop-cock, to replace the old one which has pvc broken pipe stucked inside

THE WORKS

PART A - CHANGING THE WATER INLET PIPE

take out the old stop-cock.

replace it with the new one. look at the water.
you can imagine how strong my house water pressure is

since that the new stop-cock is working, turn off the tap.
now put on the socket to connect the stopcock and the L socket

test it. its working. turn off the tap

now, measure the right length to be used.
cut the flexible pvc hose with a small saw

this is how they should be arranged. very important- the position of the rubber bend.

insert and push it inside. this is to block the water from coming out. there shouldnt be any space
else you will have a hard time with the water spurs out from the connection made.
(that was what happened to me)

see? the rubber bend just nicely fitted in togetherwith the first edge of the flexible pvc hose

then use the plastic white part to push the rubber inside and tighten all parts

this is how it should looked like

PART B - MAKING THE JOINT PIPE TO THE METER

put the socket as shown in the picture
(pls refer to the red arrow from previous photo)

the same thing, make sure the rubber bend is inserted tightly
and nicely inside the front receiver. make sure the 2nd edge for the same hose goes deep inside (maximum) and tighten them all

this is how it should looked like

look at the red lines...that is where the flexible pvc lies. less items used.

turn on the stop-cock tap. WALLA! it worked. you can see the meter pressure readings. its functioning.

i have spent approximately 3 hours doing this fixing works. it is because i was confused on the arrangement of the black tightener, which comes first? the rubber or the white plastic thing, and notice the white plastic, the circular one should face the tightener or vice versa? got blister on my palm doing the tightening and re-open the whole thing, just to get things right. went through this torturous trial & error with the item and after getting myself wet, and hungry (no appetite/couldnt enjoy any food if in the midst of DIY works) at my 'car porch turned to a mini garden', this experience really a worthwhile one. i learned something new and i need to share this with others.

ALhamdulillah, i am satisfied with the work done, and we got our water supply as soon as the pipe was fixed. everybody is happy, especially my maid ;)

guess what? all my afternoon meetings were cancelled...*yippy !*

who cancelled it? it was me. there was an emergency in the house, that i need to call the municipal fire fighter authority in my area. here in Malaysia, we call them BOMBA who helps to put out fire and others related to saving or 'tranfering' wild/dangerous animal such as snakes etc..

so what happened to me and my house that i need to call our BOMBA?

two of them were fed with milk. they were so hungry that they could eat a horse..err..i mean a pony ;p

after feeding time, they sleep like the grizzly bears

we went out at 6pm to shop for the milk replacer (you can use kittens') and the feeding bottles. they dont have any teeth yet, so i think there is no rush for banana or papaya (solid foods).

here in Malaysia, in order to keep them as pet, a special permit must be granted from the local authority. i think i am going to apply it, since my kids would kill me if i hand over to the zoo for the custody.

a very very special thanks to BOMBA for this rescue mission. these orphans have a home now and we are going to love them very much like they are our own family (the hairy group, apart from our cats haha..)

i think we will go along very fine, insyaAllah

Additional info : these could be civet cats, and in here, they are called musang pandan. i was also informed by a friend that they produce nice natural 'pandan' fragrance...cant wait for them to grow up *sooo excited*

Work-Gym-Homework

i finished my work today at 8.30pm...2 works actually, morning to 6pm i was at the office, the corporate office, with working papers, with phone calls...with the computers and with the staff aarrrgghhh... busy and dry life.

then, i rushed to my Leech & Cupping Clinic, drove my car as fast as i could (still not exceeding 80km perhour) as the patient has arrived and waited at the guest area. i gave my patient the consultancy she needed to know on the treatment method, and after agreeing to it, the treatment started, using 6 leeches. she asked for a 2nd treatment appointment. i think she's satisfied, Alhamdulillah ;)

2 contrast services in a day, with me wearing 2 different color of 'hats', as a corporate consultant and as an alternative treatment consultant! i dont know whether i can be called a hirudotherapist, but that is what i do after office hours or upon appointment requests.

after 9pm, took all my girls to the gym (they love the kids room in the gym) and guess what? i started to run again. my performance dropped as expected, for not been running for months ! did some weight lifting and some stomach crunching, then after finished exercising, took all my girls for sauna (also in the same gym). they loved it, and it felt soooo good! at the end of our activities, they got their ice cream, as promised haha....

now, at home, its me and my arabic homework. i looked at my books. took them to bed, every night!..but whenever i want to do it, then this 'rock' comes and sit on my eyes...and i always slept while the book lies on my chest !

i told myself that i would complete all the homework given as early sunday evening, and dragged till today, and it seems i couldnt do it tonight. next sunday is just around the corner and i just dont want to be left out in class. i want to face this language challenge i put towards myself...but it seems very tough..and now, God, i am feeling so tired..

and tomorrow morning, i got to take one of my girl to see an eye specialist for a follow up appointment before going for meetings in the afternoon in the office, and at 4pm tomorrow, need to revise the staff weekly working performance. if any client catches me in the office, there it goes, they got their favorite consultant and this means i'l be stucked and 'trapped' in the office till evening!

i need a vacation....so badly :(

Quiting Learning Arabic Language?

today's weather is gloomy and so goes my mood! my arabic test result has turned me down. i slept at 3am yesterday just to memorize the important vocabs, the past tenses etc etc...and guess what? i forgot 80% of them! how sad!

there is nothing wrong with my teacher, he is almost perfect as a teacher (barakallufihu)...the 4 hours in his sunday class always felt like 4 minutes to me...so what is the matter of this dropped performance? its me, its all me. i need to do a postmortem on this 'calamity' haha...

people say if you love the language, it would help in understanding them better. hmm...i think the appropriate sentence is, if you prioritize the language, it helps you to focus..whatever the theory is, i am going to listen to advices from others ;)

So, am i going to quit learning arabic language? NO ! OF COURSE NOT !

its just like a war in me to overcome the not knowing and the not understanding 'enemies'.

hmmm it seems that i need some systematic conquering plan, and guess what ?

the battle has just begun..

How To Make Kebab Balls

its about food again!!! haha..

i have posted about how to make kebab in my previous writing, but i didnt explain details on the A-Z process in making kebab. today, i made some alteration to the recipe to suit malaysians taste...spicy.

so, here are the things you need to prepare :-

5 kg red meat (beef), washed and cleaned.

onions, red chilies, small green, celery, spring onion sprouts and dried parsley

1 tablespoon black & white pepper, 1 tablespoon salt & sugar
and 1 tablespoon soup powder

my toy in the kitchen, the mincer

TO PREPARE THE MINCED MEAT - INGREDIENT A

just put HALF of the meat inside and mince. put aside

TO PREPARE THE FLAVOR INGREDIENT : INGREDIENT B

ground the white & black pepper and let them look like crunchy granules..

(not in powder form)

cut all and put all cut onion, chilies, salt, soup powder, ground white & black pepper in a frying pan,

and when they turned like 'half fried', turn off the fire.

like this

this is ingredient B.

put all the ingredient B and mince.

remember that we only mince half of ingredient A?
now after mincing the ingredient B, then put the remainder of the ingredient A and mince.
this is put ensure all ingredient B be pushed out from the machine..

mix all ingredient A & B, and put the dried parsley.

you can do some punching exercise with the kebab mixture for 5 minutes

HOW TO MAKE THE BALL SHAPE?

cut the pointing edge of the plastic bag

Scoop in the plastic bag, and press. just like making butter cookies....
you can limit the minced mixture with your finger and arrange them nicely on a tray.
then put in the freezer. once they are all hardened, you can take them out
and put in a plastic container. always keep them in the freezer.
you can take them out anytime to fry/cook in microwave. they last weeks!

Its clean, halal & good!

fried spicy kebab balls with boiled carrot and little rice :)

sometimes i used 10kg of meat to prepare kebab and keep them in the freezer for weeks. due to my busy schedule (but try my best to cook for our lunch/dinner) this way is practical to prepare a quick, safe and nutritious meal. my kids at times, cook themselves while waiting for me to comeback from work :)...

How To Make Yogurt

do you know that yogurt is sooooooooo easy to prepare?

here is how i did it :)

MAIN INGREDIENT

2 boxes of full cream milk (each box = 1 liter)

yogurt starter - natural yogurt

THE PROCESS

pour the 2 boxes of milk and put under slow fire, you can stand
there and stir or just leave it boils for 5-10 minutes

let it boils for 5-10 minutes (slow fire)

turn off the fire. let the milk cool down until about 40-45 deg cel. i dont have any thermometer at home so, i soaked my finger in it to determine the approximate temperature. it cant be too hot, or goes to room temperature. IT MUST BE WARM BUT NOT LUKE WARM. scoop out the cream layer that floats on the surface. you can make it as mask or if you dont like it, just throw it. (in my case, i ate it coz its still protein)

after the milk turns warm (not too hot anymore), pour the milk into another container,
and pour the whole natural yogurt inside

stir well so that the natural yogurt mix well with the warm milk

close the container with its cover

wrap the container with a clean towel (you can use blanket or
normal shower towel as long as it can wrap it nicely)

like this

get another cloth to make a second wrap, this is not necessary if your blanket/towel is thick.
leave this for 8-12 hours. you can do it at night before sleeping time,
and by the time you wake up, it would be ready. you would be surprised that the container is still warm.
(actually the slight heat comes from the multiplying activity of the good bacteria)

look! it thickens! then put in the refrigerator for an hour at least for best result

bon appetit! you can eat it with any dry or fresh fruits!

the rational of having the milk warm, not too hot nor at room temperature is because, the yogurt starter is actually an ingredient which has live bacteria in it...and its the good bacteria our stomach can tolerate or even in need of. having the approximately tolerated temperature of milk, the bacteria can multiply and they transform the milk fat into protein. why is it sourish? hmm...i need to do some research on it haha...just eat it lah...

on the nutrition point of view, yogurt is known as immune booster and also good source of protein, in case you intend to slim down.

the conventional iranian's way is they would pour the whole yogurt into a plain while cloth and hang it in order to expel the water from the yogurt, leaving it very thick and creamy. i thought of doing that in the beginning but it seems quite tedious finding a plain cloth, i just sticked to the normal way of preparing yogurt.

How To Cook Prawn Fettuccine Cabonara

this is something to share...tonight's dinner, we have had a creamy homemade prawn fettuccine cabonara! its pasta time!

you are going to need :-

THE ITEMS :-

2 packets of fettuccine

250gram butter (salted)

250gram cream cheese and 250gram parmesan hard cheese

300 gram cauliflower and 10-15 button mushroom

a teaspoon salt, a teaspoon dried parsley,
half teaspoon black pepper and a teaspoon of mixed herbs

1 liter of full cream milk

fresh 500gram prawn (medium size)

some garlic and onion

4 eggs

THE PROCESS :-
Preparing the pasta

fill half the pot with tap water 2 tablespoon oil and 1 tablespoon salt. cook the 2 packets until soft.
when they are soft, put under tap water, rinse and put in a strainer. put aside.

Preparing the creamy gravy

peel the prawn skin, wash them and put aside

mince the button mushroom, cauliflower, onion, garlic and put aside

pour the 1 liter milk, put in the 250gram cream cheese, the eggs,
the black pepper, the salt, mixed herbs and the dried parsley
and beat them all until mixed well. put aside. (i named this as mixture A)

heat the 250gram butter until soft. then fry the prawns,
the minced onion and garlic together at a time, until the prawns turned reddish.
its ok if the garlic & onion didnt turn brown. the smell is lovely ! (i named this as mixture B)

mix both mixture A & B, and cook under medium fire. stir and once you see it boils,
and count 10 seconds, and turn off the fire. dont worry, its considered cooked and nutritions reserved.

pour the gravy into the soften fettuccine.

scoop well

EATING TIME !

WALLAAA!!! its ready. you can grate some parmesan cheese on top of the serving.
(ops...no decoration..all those red chilis/green celery were out of stock)
suggestion : you can decorate with any colorful edible plants! ;)

Addiction Towards Supplements

this afternoon, at the parking lot, i met a long time friend of mine, whom i knew about 20 years ago. at a glimpse, i didnt recognize her, but after she said 'Assalamualaikum' to me, then all the memories bloomed out. the wrinkles around her eyes are quite vivid, but still, having the same old sweet smiles.

i remembered those funny incidents where i tried to avoid her whenever i see her, back in 1993. why? she is a multi level marketing member, who sells supplements, and still she is doing the same thing. one fact i should admit, she is one tough lady, doesnt give up easily. she 'runs after' me like an apache hunts down his prey in the orchard..damn, she was good in her persuasion, has turned my mind 360 deg and end of 1993, i gave up giving excuses, and ended up buying vitamins and prescribed to this taking supplements everyday, and put it as compulsory! there wasnt any day that i live nor skip taking vitamins. you name it, vitamin c, b, e, a, zink, calcium magnesium, instant protein, iron etc etc etc.....and this has become a daily routine for me, without fail. this is sick, i didnt know how to respond to my body reaction, or just because people say, YOU MUST, YOU MUST AND YOU MUST.

with the same way of being sweet and charming as a sales person, she greeted me. although i already opened my car door, i didnt run away haha.....(my bad) instead, i took her hands and we kissed cheeks, arab style hehe...and as expected, she gave me list of vitamins, and ALhamdulillah, this time, i managed to control the conversation, compared to my inability to do so back in 1993.

actually, to share with you my valued readers, after reaching maturity in thinking, i stopped being a yes woman. i have made some theory of my own, after making myself as the guinea pig. what i am trying to say is, i have observed myself throughout this 22 years, i can conclude that TAKING DAILY SUPPLEMENTS isnt necessary. although myself still take vitamins, but this time, i prescribe them occasionally.. meaning, i would only consume based on the food intake condition i had on the that day, if that particular day my food intake isnt healthy (ops) ie less nutritious, then i know how to get the substitute.

for me, like how we educate our mind, that is how we educate our body. we know exactly what our body needs, and sometimes, our body try to 'communicate' with us by showing symptoms of mineral deficiency, for instance. there is no harm in taking supplements daily at the right dose, but ....who wants to deny the beauty of foods variety of tastes and aroma? that is my weaknesses! i love food to much! hahaha...bottom line, i want to enjoy the luxurious of foods kinds like all those cakes, kebabs, bla bla bla...haaahhh! there we go again hehe....

Allah SWT created all for reasons, and what a miss, if i havent tried them all over too cautious or strict unpractical diet plan..

i want to try up anything that is 'halalan wa toyyiban' by the syariat, and the beauty of life to explore shouldnt be missed :)

last word, eat nutritious food must be put a must. it worth trying than ignoring the fact that our body have rights on us. addiction to supplement is just in the mind, so key point- listen to your body..

My Secret

This evening, at 5.30pm i have been visited by a client, who gave me an envelope which contained a letter. as usual i greeted her, we shaked hands and offered her to sit next to me at the sofa in the office guest room. she refused. she seemed in a hurry. she asked me to read the letter instead and i read before her. both of us standing.

smilingly, i told her i understood the content. i have no problem to hand over all document to Mr Z, her newly appointed service provider who is also my ex partner in the accounts & audit department! the same person whom i gave 200% trust in handling all matters pertaining accounts and audit for our clients since 3 years ago. how cruel?

in split second i recalled waiting him for 5 years to complete his working contract with Razak & Co, for a designation which i believed only the honest and highly trained person in the accounts industry would handle. that time, i had the person in mind, and the person was of course Mr Z, the boy whom i respected and trusted like a brother of my own. being a very busy person, i didnt mind to share the cake, and gave 50% shares to him. he acted innocent, yes his mind was still 'uncolored' with 'corporate crime'..

towards the end of 2010, i noticed that he engaged some other works behind my knowledge, and some payment went straight to his personal account. he stopped giving me reports on his performance which obviously declining, and for few months there wasnt any income from his department! in march 2011, he acted weirdly, setting appointments with clients at night telling that he was busy at day time. this is getting vivid and his stink intention can be smelled more distinctively.

so, as expected, he chose to leave on the mid of April after a discussion and mutual understanding, that the partnership can be no longer withheld. apart from doing some side business (also accounts job) behind my back, he serves another auditor as an unofficial partner, leaving many works unattended and half done. its really unprofessional, and i think at first i was angry, but actually i was disappointed.

'are you ok with this? i hope you wont be offended?' the client who was standing asked me, looking concern but having less patient. i smiled, telling her its the clients' liberty to choose whoever and which ever firm they favor. still smiling, i asked her to wait at the office guest room for me to hand over the letter to my staff. she preferred to stand, still.

my staff was surprised to read the letter, and even more surprised to see that the person whom i treated more than a brother, 'pitched' our client. he hasnt been ethical but blames put on no one, as no official written agreement was made between us. i put such confidence and trust in him and i thought that was enough. so, its my fault anyway.

she asked me 'how can you keep on smiling for his betrayal? we need to clean his shit in the office and somemore now he is stealing our client!'....looking at the eyes of my angry employee, i told her, rezk is from Allah, and this is my ex partner rezk, although he acted like a hyena snatching prey from his own 'mom'. the effort justifies the mean? thats another issue.

my staff asked me again, 'what is your secret boss? u look so cool? if i were you, i would attack him back and declare war!'...that time i didnt say anything, as i need to hand over the copy of the letter stamped with our firm's rubber stamp for the acceptance proof. i dont want to throw gasoline to a burning charcoal.

while driving home, i flashed back how i 'picked up' my ex partner when he was about to become jobless after finishing his working contract with his previous employer, and after lifting him up and assisting him in his career and most regretably giving him the trust and respect, i was bitten back as a way of thanking me. Allahuakbar. business life is mean sometimes, but its not the reason to give in. i need to do jihad (striving) and this kind of test, tastes sweet in a way. i am looking forward for a better reward.

i check my heart, Alhamdulillah, still there wasnt any inconsistence heart beat that indicates stress. praise be to Allah that i am still stable emotionally.

D.I.Y - How To Make A Dustbin

please dont throw any of your empty (finished) paint container as you can recycle it to be a dustbin!

how i did it?

you are going to need :-

an empty paint container, any size

a saw

a knife

a tin can of spraying paint

sand paper ( i cut it into 1/4)

THIS IS HOW TO DO IT....

cut at any desired level of the container.

remove the unwanted part

smoothen the rough area

rub the body with the sand paper

spray the outer and inside the container
(actually i did it outside the office, pls protect your lungs by wearing a nose cap)

WALLA! one nice & cute purplish dustbin :)

Frustrated in Love? Are We The Most Unfortunate?

i came across this interesting video about why bad things happen if God exists?

everyone sees what they believe seeing...or what they want to believe seeing, or hoping to see. same goes with having something in possession, we become angry if we dont get what we want..or what we are expecting missed its target...having someone to blame is seemingly a norm to reduce the tense, and blaming God is the easiest way to throw off the tantrum.

let me be specific. actually i want to talk on how to handle our emotions if someone that we love doesnt love us in return. its hurtful and painful from within, trust me, i know. being in despair and angry for the one sided feelings, is the output of the unsuccesful attempt of getting the mutually shared feeling. when something isnt mutual, can it be forced then? my point is, love is pure, it comes by itself but ....who decides that and when would it really going to happen?

i like the part when one of the speakers mentioned about life test. its not about us, its about the test Allah SWT put upon us. its a burden, but hey, who are we to question about His liberty? remember that He is our master and He decides what to test, who to test and when to test. and remember, who scale the marks and for what purpose? is this how God have fun? does Allah hate us by letting all these uninvited mishaps to enter into our life? are we the most unfortunate person on earth just because a man or a woman doesnt love us back? or at least pay the same level of attention we deserve?

its nice to pass any test but its nicer to enjoy the feeling of content after overcoming all the so called
love miseries.

expecting to be loved and concerned of, is undeniably everybody's needs. Allah SWT has mentioned in the Quran that He made human, to spare the love for each other. for me, He knows who is the best for us, to be our other half so to speak. to be our life partner. to be our lifelong companion. the fate is fixed.

so, what is all those grudges for? He, our Master, decides when the right time comes to meet the right person, walla! Allah gives the surprise we can hardly deny in our hearts, that this is it and this is what we have been hunting for all our lives. its the timing matter.

we have du'a to seek the forcasted happenings we longed to experience..and if we were to be tested as love beggars, then be it. handle the feelings smartly, be yourselves and dont let your loves ones lost you while you were day dreaming. if you climb something exceeding the height limit, it would be more painful than falling down from a chair. on the efforts, you can decide your personal emotional management procedures.

give yourself to you and to the nearest people who love you. its not worthwhile to lose them all over something uncertain. its just like gasping in a dark hoping to hold the door tomb to make an exit. appreciate what you have now and let this special love finds its own way to inhabit the 2 hearts of the 2 birds. have faith in Allah and put the trust that He is the best planner ever.

i know, it has been many weeks or months (i guess) where i didnt really write to speak my mind. i was really busy and still am busy. i have just finished making the finishing touch on the cabinet i made myself at 2.45am (i'l upload the pic later insyaAllah)..

looking back the past february and march 2011, i have spent many nights till 1 or 2am completing some of abandoned works by the contractor for my other office. the real story is, actually i told them to stop, as the workmanship was disaster. i have no basic training in doing light construction work, but if we use some physic logics, we can see that the table top was argghhhh...ugly! i told myself, if we can measure anything, we can do something with what we measure....and whatever can be measured, can be assembled or dissembled, just like ikea product :)

actually what i am trying to get at, is about having the freedom to choose not just what we feel right to say but also what we love to do. i am not saying that i start to hate what i used to do, its just making my very own book shelf cabinet, and simple shelf cabinet is awesome! i told my friend that given 10 thousand dollars, i would shop at hardware shop, getting myself the best, most sophisticated tools for home/office improvement...haha...

april is coming, and i am relief that the renovation works in my other office is about to complete. apart from having this blissful feeling of having the men work done, i am grateful to ALlah SWT for giving me the patience dealing with lazy contractors and unskillful ones. at first i hesitated to fire them, but having the freedom and free will mind, i told them that i wasnt happy with their work and they can stop 'destroying' the material i bought to make the cabinet. it need guts to spat the words out hehe...but Alhamdulillah i did it and its better than hiring another contractors to fix things. if i havent been tested with this problems i wouldnt dare to handle the construction machines, use the air pressure nail gun and of course those wall drillers. yes, you heard me right, i chose to complete their half baked works myself.

i think this trial and practice with construction works help me to be precise and accurate in rendering services/giving consultancy, just like measuring the 12mm plywood to be cut according to the specific measurement, we need to be focus and cautious, as to avoid any unnecessary incident, or incur loses of the material cut, when the measurement made was wrong. well actually i am trying to relate these 2 contrast field of services...

i want to write more, but my eyes are dry due to the chemical effect from the thinner liquid i used to get rid the excessive glue used for the cabinet finishing and my throat feels sore due to the wood dust i inhaled :(

Loss Of Memory

Loss of Memory? its the muscle memory i mean. cycled with friends in conjunction of Kuala Lumpur City Day 2011 that falls every 1st February and my muscles seemed have lost all their sports memories. how sad!

i couldnt sleep at all the night before the occasion, changed my bike tyre tube and wipe & polish my bike at 4 am!

i went off from home at about 6.45am and have had a bad time catching up with my friends whom are generally 15 years older than i am!

i must get my stamina again and tomorrow, i am going to join a ride at the old track i used to ride, which will indicate my performance after not being cycling for almost 6 months.

i might push my bike rather than riding the bike to climb the hills haha..

Kittens Do Understand, too...

since nina gave birth to 5 beautiful kittens, i started to talk to each of them, every day. i would lift them up one by one, cuddle and kiss them at their nose, and mingle with them as if they were human babies..

they look straight at my eyes, whenever i talk to them....i think they understand what i was saying or they might be wondering, what is this 'king kong' were saying..haha.....

actually, cat can be trained to do almost anything (as far as four legged living things are capable of doing). back in 1993, i had raised a kitty (found near a drain, aged less than a week, and his eyes were yet to open!) so the first person he saw when he was able to open his eyes, was me. i guess that made me his 'mom'. i named him bobo, and bobo sleeps like human, hold the small feeding bottle like a human baby and the only thing he looked like a cat, was he started to feed on solid. oh it breaks my heart thinking that bobo had rested in peace and those sweet memories with bobo can make me cry huhu...

anyway, these funny tiny little kitties i have now, are so cute and mysterious!

D.I.Y - How To Make STOPCOCK For Toilet Reservoir Bowl

its not the first time i fixed my son's bath room. anyway, i am in the mood to share the knowledge on how to make a stopcock for your toilet reservoir.

stopcock is very very important, especially if your house is having a very strong water pressure. in my case, yes, we are having high water pressure, and i need to be handy, as the re-occurrence is quite rapid.

look at the leak, there was not any single stopcock to stop the flow

look at the bulging area, due to the high water pressure, or simply just a low quality hose

PROCESS A

(removing the old hose)

first of all, turn off the main water source.
then to remove the old hose from the source of water inlet point

and from the water output point - the reservoir bowl

remove the old 'connector'

why i said 'connector', its becoz it connects the pipe of water source inlet and the hose,
anyway, we dont need it now. (i kept it, for recycling purposes)

this is how it looked. now, is to prepare the stopcock

PROCESS B

(items in Process B)

in process B, you are going to need 1 feet PVC pipe, size half an inches (diameter)

new flexible hose..the size is standard but the length varies....
depending on the distance between the bowl and the inlet source

PVC glue

saw blade

stopcock head

i dont know the exact name, but i call it the connector. we need 2 of them

white tape

spanner

Steps in Process B

wrapped the ring area with the white tape, not so thick.

this is how it looked like. we are going to need 2 of them

measure approx 2 inches of pvc pipe.
this is to bridge the connector and the stopcock head

using the saw blade, cut approx 2 inches.

this is how it looked like. we need 2 like this. put aside

PVC glue, its can melt the pvc pipe...its chemically strong for its function

apply the PVC glue.
WAIT!!!
THIS IS WRONG WAY TO APPLY IT. THE GLUE MIGHT DAMAGE YOUR SKIN

yesss, this is the right way.

let it dry up for 1-2 minutes

you can see that the 2 inches of pvc pipes are to be used as the bridge

see what i mean?

insert them and press to tighten them up. they really stick very well

PROCESS C

fix it into the wall. there is a steel pipe in the wall

test whether the stopcock head is working or not

wrap the white tape, after removing the old white tape

fix in the new hose to the other point of the connector

the other is to be fixed into the reservoir bowl

tighten them well

open the reservoir cover and test it. WALLA! it worked :)

just about RM 19 (about 6 USD)

i know how 'rusty' my boys' bathroom is.... i'll force them to scrub it one day....

time used : approximately less than an hour

Difference Between Cold & Hot Pressed Avocado Oil

i read somewhere in the net, claiming that avocado wont secrete its oil below any temperature of 90 degrees Celsius. that was the real reason why i cooked my avocado (just pressed them in a pan, under slow fire) to get its oil. and, of course, i managed to get it (please refer to my previous posts on avocado oil).

then, i saw a word 'cold pressed avocado oil' and this has 'distracted' my mind a lot...i wanted to know whats the difference between the hot and cold pressed avocado oil. i need to challenge the previous 90 deg celsius theory, so, i began my research, on how to produce the proclaimed high quality cold pressed avocado oil BELOW 90 DEGREES CELSIUS. my kids whined 'oh no! not avocado experiment again!...haha..

i took approximately 500 gram of avocado and mashed them, till fine and smooth. then i spread the mashed avocado on a tray, spread them as little as to make a very very thin layer, and put them in a room with room temperature of 16 degrees Celsius. Malaysia is having hot climate, so i turned the aircondition on. actually, you can test by letting your wet shirt in an airconditioned room, and you would be surprised to see it would be dry in the next morning, so the theory goes the same to the spreaded mashed avocado on the tray :)

so, coming back to the avocado oil thing, after a day, the greenish avocado turned dark. i can see some oil being excreted there, and then i put the tray under the hot sun, for about few hours. eventually, everything turn out black! but the good thing is, there is no smell of carbon due to burning from cooking, like the previous experiment i did before. put them all in a piece of cloth, and squeeze as hard as you can...you would be delighted to see the almost clear yellowish avocado oil drips in the bowl..(sorry, no photo on the process, as my hp battery was week that time)

if you ask me, i prefer the 'uncooked' one. no wonder the price of cold pressed avocado oil in the market is incredibly expensive...

now, i just wonder whats the difference between virgin and extra virgin oil...why did they create so many terminology in producing oil?

something weird happened these 2 weeks..... i got few more new incoming jobs from my existing clients, and few more new clients who have confirmed few jobs to render. its just like i had just made a big advertisement about my company/our services, which i havent done so these few months..could it be due to my recent guests who bring luck or...could it be just my rezk?...Alhamdulillah, Alhamdulillah and Alhamdulillah.....

these 2 weeks, i was tested with serving people at the dojo, sometimes 10 people, sometimes 15 people...few hours and few hundred ringgit spent to 'entertain' the special guests and the normal guests....sometimes, i have to put my personal agenda aside, so that i can give my very best of 'service' to my guests. i just dont want them to step out, with any of the slightest grudge in their heart.. i want them to go home, smiling and satisfied...so that no angels would curse me, for i have done my duty as what instructed by Allah SWT, that is to honor our guests the best we can.

looking at the 'investment' made...and looking at the return i got, i felt like bursting to cry. Allah SWT has rewarded me not just triple, but far too much to compensate with what i have spent for the guests, SubhanaAllah !! i have been training my heart not to grumble, and been repeatedly reminding myself, that guests are the key to the 'gifts', without sincerity, those 'gifts' is just as good as nothing. is this actually a test or a reward? thinking of the scenario, Allah SWT really observe my heart and this made me more anxious/worry to ensure that i wont have any riya' or slight slip from my real intention of being sincere.

i hope no praise by human, but for the mercy of Allah SWT to forgive my past sins through my deeds. getting 'weird' positive change of my business climate during these weeks is surely a bonus. i never plan this, nor i gave condition to God, to repay any of my deeds with something tangible.

am i boasting? am i showing off ? NOPE.

i guess, all of these efforts were the output made unconsciously, for my heart training session, and i have helplessly and wholeheartedly, let Allah SWT to decide on the outcome...

I have passed the passports to Mr Alvin almost 3 weeks ago, without getting the full settlement. i dont normally do this, but this case is an exception. his wife is scheduled to give birth anytime soon, and as a family person myself, keeping their passports at this crucial current of time, is just like putting the knife to their throat for ransom. that was the 1st test for me, if i believe in Allah SWT fully, and if He has destined that the rezk is promised to me, then it is indeed mine, then, i shouldnt put any doubt about the payment. i have nothing to hold him back, but only promises, his australian brother will make the full settlement for the services rendered.

day by day passed, nothing happened. called the office, and they told the same, their boss, havent transferred the money from australia. i called Mr Alvin reminding him about the payment, and all he can say was, madam, pls be patient, be patient and dont be angry. then it was christmas, Alfred said that the australian office was closed, and i have to wait for another week. fine. period.

so i waited.

i went to indonesia bringing some money, enough for me to do a small shopping in Solo. when i returned to malaysia i called alvin asking him the same boring question, and the same answer i got, that was 'be patient, maryam'.

waited another a week. went outstation again, to Port Dickson for 3 days, and this afternoon, i lost my temper when talking to alvin. he keeps assuring his brother would make a prompt payment from australia.

i called alfred in australia but to no avail, i was really angry! i called alvin telling him that if they were to be funny and played me out in this hide and seek game, i would even do 'funnier' things, as i can maneuver creatively using their document and get few expatriates posts approved, using every single document of their company, as to support my application to get more expatriates posts.. i was beginning think devilishly corporate, or getting revenge, in a corporate way. its like making counterfeit money, if you can imagine it.. ahh...that was few years ago, when i do business like how lady mafia does business in jamaica, haha..

deep down in my heart, i told myself, i have to hold to my principals, the principals i adopted after learning to respect others rights. in this case, i was instructed to apply the post for alvin in malaysian immigration department, and the post is entitled for alvin. not for any other person i favor. halal and haram is one of the most element of income generation..

i trust myself. i chose to wait and respect their rights, although they didnt fulfill their promises to pay me on time. i have tried to imagine using their document to apply some post from our immigration authority, and i might get triple profit by selling off the post to other foreigners who hate to wait to get the work permit approved. its a bit technical, its ok, you dont have to comprehend...its just a process to ease immigrants to legalize their stay here...

so, i called alfred, the rich brother of alvin, again at 9 pm today, and this time he answered, ..after 5 sms'ses, and uncountable times of unanswered calls, phew! what a relief! ... he said 'maryam, thank you for your patience, i have transferred the money from here (australia) and you will get your money tomorrow'..

Alhamdulillah, in this battle between maaruf(good deeds) and mungkar(bad deeds), I WON...

getting my payment without violating others rights is more 'satisfying' than getting triple profit by secretly do some unethical work. i know, God 'CCTV' is on me wherever i go, whatever i do...i wont sell my religion for just few thousand ringgit..

when their accountant called me to collect the cheque, i smiled to myself thinking about this 'victory'. this patience was really worthwhile :)

My Hero

i have been very lazy lately...and every time i started to type something at night, it always end up with the laptop lied steadily on my chest with me, sleeping haha

went to Maher Zain Titian Kaseh concert, and i recalled how he had charmed the audience with his spontaneous jokes and warm & loving attitude towards the children who climbed the stage. i saw many screamed out his name, i guess they are his die hard fan..anyway, if i have the chance, i would like to 'remind' him not to be sucked in the limelight of being the center of attention...Prophet Sulaiman (peace be upon him) when one of his knowledgeable man, in split second, brought the palace of the princess before his eyes, he (Sulaiman) praised Allah SWT, raising out the worry of the miraculous phenomenon, if they were actually a test for him. i think, the same goes to Maher, the rate of his succes in this industry rocketed in just in months, and he become the new 'idol' of the Malaysian youngsters. as one of his fan, i bet he doesnt look for glamour, the fame is just something that comes along with his hard work and the result of his sincerity to share on his feelings and hope for Allah SWT. Maher has expressed his gratefulness in 'Alhamdulillah' and all his fans can 'sense' his repent and calls to worship and love the sole Creator.

oh i was carried away, the topic is about 'My Hero'. of course, for muslims, our hero is the beloved Muhammad (peace be upon him). i am talking about the hero nominated in our hearts within this recent 100 years. a baby might grow worshiping the late michale jackson if that is what the mom exposes to her from the womb until she reaches the adolescent age. a boy might worship the karl marx if he loves the idea of being mean and eliminate 'ehsan', and anybody might idolize malcom X if he believes that freedom is justice and being just is freedom. Some malaysians who hold syia principals might admire the iranian president and look him as the adorable perfecto, most pakistanis think that pakistan wont be like pakistan today, if our malaysia's tun mahathir mohamad becomes their president haha..(ops my bad), some gays might lift lady gaga as 'god' with her satanic definition of sexual freedom and arghh....many others, my fingers just feel 'nausea' to type more..it depends on what type of personality first exposed to us, when our soul were at 'thirst' and searching...

as for myself, my first exposure on islamic book was when i was 16. my first understanding with deep realization about the 'chaotic world' of Islam made understood by the west was corrected after reading the book on the Egypt Islamic Revolution.

i dont know whats wrong with me this morning, my mind wasnt on the treadmill...but my legs were on it, running. my mind floated elsewhere *sigh*...and this has taken lots of my energy, and i finished my 30 minutes run breathlessly...spent another an hour doing some weights lifting and stomach crunching.

10 minutes in sauna helps though...i felt fresh and after cleaning myself, went to the office, feeling fresher and motivated :)

anyway, i know i would be sleepy for another an hour or two...

please dont ask about my '5km in 30mins' target, haha..

LEECH AQUARIUM

again about leech, but this time, its about their 'castle'...

this is 2 x 1 feet aquarium, i put some small rocks, wood and plants in it

i think they were so happy in their new home

hmm....its normal if they want to escape

some water plants....not just for decoration, leech loves to hide within their roots

i need to cover this aquarium with something

at first i thought to cover it with a plastic net...then i found some left over curtain in my wardrobe :)

working leech are just like us, working people. some are good hard working, some are lazy. some would prick the skin and suck at a point of touch, but some take time to even bite. some are sleepy type, whereby we need to pad their body with wet cotton to wake it up. some are weak or sick, they wont suck at all..dont force them to do the work then. release the sick or weak back to the aquarium or freed them into a river.

my third stock is coming next week insyaAllah, and i cant wait to have them :)

How To Make/Extract 100% Avocado Oil (PART 2)

to tell you the truth, i was not really satisfied with the first avocado oil i made. its a bit smelly and i didnt really like it.

so, what i did, took another 2kg of bad avocado and made some alteration to the 'recipe'..

you are going to need :-

2kg (approximately ) of bad avocado

clean dry bottle.

STEPS

put the whole 2 kg bad avocado into a medium sized frying pan.
Just avocado, no additional coconut oil , water nor baby oil.
Cook the avocado in medium fire. Press the avocado using the bottom part of the bottle.
press and press until it turns a bit dark (about 2 hours)

Cooked and dry. put in a bowl

put some in a cloth to squeeze the cooked avocado.
Squeeze it into a different bowl (no picture of that )

pour the oil into the same bottle used in the earlier process. (you can use other bottle if you like)
this time, the oil extracted was a bit greenish. i like the color.

almost 350 ml pure avocado oil. 100% avocado oil.

look at the waste. i have tried to use it as facial scrub, and guess what?
its fantastic!

i thought the smell would turn worse, but i was wrong. its simply avocado smell with avocado aroma.. you can use it as your salad dressing or can apply to moisture your dry skin/hair.

the time used for the A-Z process was also shortened.....maybe due to no additional water/coconut oil/baby oil. i think i prefer the modified recipe rather than the previous one.

hmm...how nice if i were to have an avocado orchard :)

Salam Maal Hijrah to all fellow muslims and for those who are curious about this day, this is the first day of our Islamic Calendar year. Maal Hijrah, which is also called Awal Muharram, falls on the first day of Muharram on our Muslim calender year. The meaning of Maal Hijrah in English is migration. On this day, Muslim remember Prophet Muhammad S.A.W migrate from Mecca to Madinah on the year 622 A.D. Awal means beginning in English and Muharram is the first month of muslim calender. In another words, this is the first day in Muslim calendar. How do we celebrate it? we dont have fireworks instead some perform solat sunat at home and most imam in mosques would conduct solat sunat. Maal Hijrah also means changes from bad to good and a starting point to evaluate inner-self on self achievement.

Every year, i have set plans to do many changes for the betterment of my economic situation, spiritual and emotional aspects. Only Allah SWT knows what type of hardship i am facing, yes, i know i sounded whining. but to be honest, the meeting with Dr Yusri and Coach Nordin over tea time today, gave me an indirect affirmative answer on how to respond to all these life challenges. i was relieved. Alhamdulillah. i would like to share with you my story and this might be useful to those who has no idea on what to be changed in conjunction of Maal Hijrah.

ok here we go. We discussed about the words most people used when being tested with turbulences in life...WHY ME..some might consider the mishaps or the burdens as punishment from Allah SWT for their past sins. putting Allah SWT as the punisher, we believe that justice is served. We did wrongful deeds and punishment is given. case closed.

Ok, lets check our heart after categorizing Allah SWT as the great Punisher. lets do some experiment of feelings now. how if, we change from having this terms WHY ME, to WHY NOT. do you notice any difference of feelings now? can you measure the level of your spiritual energy?

i have a suggestion. instead of treating this as the punishment we deserved, we make a creatively adjustment by accepting the difficulties wholeheartedly and keep our contentedness to Allah SWT firm, keep our heart open and treat this as a unique way of LOVE poured by Allah SWT...WHAT? thanking Allah SWT for the pain and miseries borne by us? its hard to implement this, but when you have done it, i mean having the feeling of content to the all unwanted life incidents/calamity, catastrophe, you would notice the peaceful feelings derived from inside you. check your heart now. you would feel the energy trembling from within. compare the spiritual energy level with the previous one (previous method)

could this contentedness feeling be as the actual reason of the cleansing our past sins? Allah SWT knows best. i dare not talk much, as i myself am still learning in this spiritual energy chapter.

Salam Maal Hijrah to all Muslims world wide. i pray that all of us be blessed with Allah’s countless bounties, a fruitful, prosperous and peaceful year ahead, insyaALlah.

How To Make/Extract Avocado Oil

Today, i felt so happy for producing my very own avocado oil YEAY!!

Last month, i got 129 avocados which were 70% bad and 30% still can be eaten, ate 2 or 3 per day, and due to avocado doesnt last long, they rot and couldnt be eaten anymore. to throw away almost 100 rotten avocado just like that? no way!

i browsed the net searching for tips how to extract avocado oil. searched in youtube, and google, my efforts were in vain. i have to use common sense how to do it. this is how i did it.

you are going to need :-

for the purpose of sharing, i just used approximately 2kg of bad avocado

1 liter coconut cream (optional, you can omit it if you want 100% avocado oil extract)

a piece of cloth and a bowl

250gram pure coconut oil, (this is also optional, you can also omit this)
(any brand, i bought this one from my Myanmar client)

use few table spoon of baby oil (if you cant stand the smell of cooked avocado,
this is optional, you can omit this if you like)

THE STEPS

pour the coconut cream and mix it with the avocado in a blender machine

until really smooth

you can add more or if its too thick, you can add some tap water

pour everything in a suitable sized pot, cook in slow fire

. stir every 5 minutes. you can add the pure coconut oil and the baby oil if you like
(they are just optional)

its boiling... and look at the extracted avocado oil surfaced near the bubbles,
cook until it become a bit dried up..you will notice that the mixture expels water due to heat from the fire

cook and keep on stirring until the color become dark as shown above.
see the differencebetween a half cooked avocado (which i want to use as a hair/face mask)
and a well cooked avocado in the red tray

now to strain the mixture to get the oil.....put the cloth on top of the bowl

put the well cooked avocado on it

i love this part, especially when i see the oil drips into the bowl. squeeze hard the get the most out of it

pour the luxurious avocado oil in a clean dry bottle

proud to present, a bottle of homemade avocado oil

the waste. i didnt throw it, and
guess what? it can be used to wash the dishes !

avocado oil is reported to be better than olive oil for its nutrient content. i find that avocado is more than just better.

anyway, for the above home made avocado oil, the content of avocado oil is 85% i can say, and the rest of it is the mixture of the coconut oil and the baby oil. even though mine is only 85%, i believe the avocado dominates the whole oil mixture as the outcome isnt really greasy. maybe the coconut nucliec acid changes with heat or when mixed with the dominant ingredient, they might 'convert and transform' their identity? i dont know, i didnt score chemistry in school haha...

you can omit all except the avocado is you want 100% avocado oil output.

for the baby oil, it helps to give some fragrance to the oil. it was my daughter's request actually as she wants to use it as well, and she hates bad smelling oil ;p..

i like the original smell, just love the originality and authenticity of avocado oil...

these photo are from the net...i havent checked whether Savannah cats are available in Malaysia, would like to browse and search for more info, but i have to go for a meeting now! *sigh* .....how nice if i can do some social work in the zoo ;)

Alhamdulillah, my exhausted left knee is almost recovered. i can say 70% healed. after letting 7 well grown leeches suck the blood and at the same time 'donate' their hirudin into my system, i dont feel the 'needling' pain anymore....and guess what? i put the leeches myself to prick my skin and i picked them up after detaching and falling off from my knee.

i can say, that i am 98% free from the phobia of the slimy crawling annelids haha...Allah SWT has created one unique species and due to their magnificent multi function from medical aspects, i become more and more keen to study them deeper.

up to now, i have put 7 to my left knee, 2 at my right knee, 1 at the left finger, 2 at the right fingers, 1 at the right palm, 10 at my face (various areas), 2 at the sinus spots, 4 very near to the eyes (2 right, 2 left), 2 behind the ears (1 each), 5 at my lower tummy, 4 at my back (lower back bone) and 1 at my head. 41 leeches in 5 therapy sessions!! dont say it, i know its crazy.

the most miraculously changes were on my eyes. my long sighted vision is almost 30% better now, and my astigmatism is slightly improved. i shaved my head (about a coin size) just to see the effect of hirudin to my scalp, and i couldnt believe it, that half millimeter of hair grew from the shaved scalp just within 24 hours!

would hirudin gives any effect on metabolisme/performance during running? i am so enthusiastic to do the test on myself fast, but having a facilitator and leadership course for 4 days distracting my 'science experiment' plan..argghh!!! anyway, will find time for it, maybe running on treadmill at night, insyaAllah.

for me, leeches are really outstanding extraordinary creatures created by God, and just imagine, this is only one of His creations...Subhanallah!
